Nelson Mandela’s daughter and granddaughter are launching House of Mandela wines. His granddaughter Tukwini Mandela said: “The wine movement is growing.” Ohhhhhhhhhh yeah it is!
Not sure how I missed this Clicquot Airstream thing, but it looks pretty awesome and is rolling up to a Keith Haring opening. Then Veuve tweeted me back saying to stay tuned for more details – so I’m hoping this means the bubbles on wheels are coming near me very soon.
The Packers released Charles Woodson. I’m just waiting for him to release more Twenty Four wine, since I’ve never had it. At Winemakers Wednesday in Napa, he said, “At some point I do plan on having a residence here. I love it so much. I love to be here.”

And I got to try this classic Tempranillo-based wine. Cinnamon, black pepper, old cherry, delicious black cherry finish – and only $500:

How was the Cobb pinot? I have had a bunch of the wine he makes for Hirsch, but never any of his own stuff….
Great! I was at a tasting and tried about 30 Pinots and the Coastlands was my favorite. Pricey though, I think around $70.
Yeah, that pricey thing always gets me…
