“why didn’t i drink any of the Roederer???”

I know the US Open ended a while ago, but I just read about this. After Andy Murray won, he went to celebrate in NYC at Hakkasan.  I haven’t been yet but I have been to the one in London and loooved it. It was a while ago so I don’t remember what I drank, but Murray’s posse probably recalls their drinks.

All in all they had five bottles of Louis Roederer cuvées, a bottle and more glasses of Three Saints Santa Barbara Cabernet 2009 (sold out on their website, but $24 at other wine shops), and tons of cocktails. So I’m picturing Murray running around (possibly literally – he’s an athlete) clinking glasses with everyone he can find – but no. Apparently in the midst of all these yummy grapes he just drank lemon soda all night. Not a grapefriend.

His friends racked up a $6,500 bar tab, though Hakkasan comped everything but the tip ($1,289). At least THEY’RE grapefriends.
