one happy – and strong – outfielder
Last month, the Marlins forked over a landmark contract to Giancarlo Stanton: 13 years for a reported $325 million.
Kind of a lot of money. And no better reason to celebrate.
After signing, Stanton headed to FDR nightclub at the Delano in Miami and got his hands on a methuselah (a large format equal to 8 bottles in one) of Moët Nectar Impérial Rosé Leopard Luxury Edition. Coated in 22-carat gold leaf and camouflaged with a leopard motif, it’s just all sorts of ridiculous.
The Nectar is a sweet wine with 45g of sugar per liter, and they leave some flexibility in the blend in their notes, saying it’s 45-55% Pinot Noir, 35-45% Pinot Meunier, and 5-10% Chardonnay.
Want one? It costs around $5,000, and only 60 were made because really, how many people are going to buy a leopard bottle of Champagne for 5k??? Btw, that’s the retail price – apparently in the club it was more like $20,000. But that’s mere pennies to Giancarlo now.
