I had to be in LA for work on my birthday, and wanted to just have people stop by somewhere for casual drinks. James Beach was my place.

I’d seen my friend’s pics from this place in Venice, and thought it looked awesome. Yep, I was right.

The owner James – Mr. Beach as we now call him – is super jolly and sent over a glass of Veuve Clicquot rosé when he found out it was my bday.

Then it wound up being Fried Chicken Night, so this happened.

Suuuuuper fun night, good wine list (lots of flights to sample and also some fave easy-drinking rosés like Charles & Charles, Étude, and Whispering Angel), and good beachy times.
