getting your grape on

getting your grape on: july

Summer is in full swing, and grapefriends are drinking well! From fireworks to feasts, the tags were awesome. Here were a few of my faves!

We started out with a bang – or at least a crackle (of fireworks). Love this pic.

The obvious companion to wine is food, and I saw a bunch of sweet spreads.

Marie-Laure is about as French as it gets. The somm tried to turn her on to an Oregon Pinot Noir (I love them, but she was havign none of it). She wound up with this light red from Italy:photo 2 (6)

I looooooooove wine-inspiring people – winspiration!photo 1 (5)

Sometimes we even drink the same wine domaine on the same night (I was having the Schlumberger Pinot Blanc).photo 5

And I also love helping people pronounce hard grape names.photo 1 (4)

Check out this cool “corkscrew” – handy when you’re just walking around outside with a bottle and suddenly need to pop a cork.photo 2 (2)

As we all know, I too love Sofia Coppola.photo 5 (2)

My friend works for Kiehl’s and they just kicked off their annual LifeRide. She texted me the wines that were at their welcome dinner.IMG_5443

And just a few fun pics:photo 1

And finally, the big announcement: our Grapefriend of the Month is Lisa Sun! Lots of fun tags all month.photo 2photo 1 (1) photo 2 (1) photo 3 photo 4

So as happens every month, the number of tags keeps on growing. There were so many of them in July, in fact, that for the first time since I started grapefriend I couldn’t handle them all! Every month there are now literally hundreds of pics from everyone and I couldn’t edit and upload them all, but am still totally psyched to see what everyone’s drinking every night so keep tagging me @grapefriend on Twitter or Instagram!

Psyched to see the beat-the-August-heat wines that will for sure be popped in the next four weeks!
