In the non-stop flow of pink, here are five faves for the month!
Olga Raffault: Stunning rosé from Chinon, full of minerality, strawberry, and the slightest touch of funk to give it complexity. Had this at Clay, or you can also get here for $16.99
Gerard Bertrand Cote Des Roses: Light and refreshing, reminded me of a great trip to Gerard Bertrand in the south of France two years ago. Was fantastic with mussels on the beach. And you can’t beat the rose-shaped bottle bottom. Had it at The Boathouse, or you can get it here for $17.99
Bastide du Claux Poudrière: Peaches, strawberry shortcake, and orange rind notes in this flavorful rosé from Luberon, blending 65% Grenache, 20% Cinsault, and 15% Syrah from 25-60 year old vines. $18.99 here
Chehalem: Lots of yellow grapefruit which I don’t normally get from Pinot Noir-based rosés, but it’s a nice shot of tang under the usual strawberry notes. $25 here
G.H. Mumm Grand Cordon Rosé: You know it’s August when your delicious strawberry-inflected rosé Champagne comes with matching sunnies. Get your Mumm and Le Specs for $115 here.
