Congrats, Giants! Man, I wish I were talking about the NY Giants – but sadly the east coast G-men don’t looked poised for a championship this year and don’t have their own wine!!!

The San Francisco Giants, on the other hand, won the World Series last night (their 8th championship title) and have their own bubbly! Mumm Napa makes a Brut Prestige (for like regular season watching, $27) which is 45% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir, and 10% Pinot Gris /Pinot Meunier from Napa, and made in the traditional method. They also made a special limited edition Championship bubbly ($125) for their last World Series win two years ago, which is 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir.

Mumm Napa sent roughly 130 cases of the Brut Prestige to the team for their championship celebration last night. The fans may have been popping the same corks all season, since the bubbly is available at the SF ballpark. To give me even more stadium envy, apparently their jumbotrons flash #MummNapaMoment when something big happens during games. Ugh, so grapefriendy!

They only made 2,012 bottles to commemorate the 2012 year of their win. Guess they’ll have to make an extra two bottles for their 2014 edition!
