Whiskey Week happy hours have to involve whiskey – or whisky in this case (and we now know the difference). This is a Balblair single malt scotch from the Highlands with a light orange/lemony flavor. The cool thing is that Balblair always releases vintage whisky, which means that all the whisky in the bottle was laid down in the same year.
It’s aged in old bourbon barrels, which is great since tomorrow, we bourbon! Get ready….
That’s interesting! So this Scottish whisky company imports used American whiskey barrels to age its Scotch? I’d think that is very nontraditional for a vintage one. But I’m just learning… 😉
