I love love love port cocktails. I had a ton of great ones at the Yeatman last September, and they seem especially inspired for a Valentine’s Day! Whether you’re celebrating with an actual Valentine or you’re just in love with yourself, one of these will add to your day.
the saint valentine
1 1/2 oz. good, flavorful white rum
1/2 oz. Fonseca Bin 27 Ruby Port
1/2 oz. orange curacao or Grand Marnier
1/2 oz. oz. fresh-squeezed lime juice
Shake all ingredients well with ice, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

But to me, Croft Pink is perfect for V-Day. Bubbles aren’t a horrible way to celebrate either. And just in case you’re bitter about the holiday, this one’s got you covered that way too. Put that all together and you have:
bubbles & pink
3 oz. Croft Pink Port (chilled)
4 oz. Prosecco
1/2 oz. Cointreau
2 dashes of bitters
1 lemon twist, as garnish
Pour all the ingredients into a chilled Champagne flute. Stir briefly and add the garnish.
You can find these and tons more here. Prepare to fall in love, grapefriends.
Awesome, it had literally never occured to me to do a port cocktail before! Definitely sharing this with my girl…
Yes, they’re great! The Croft Pink is especially good for cocktails.
Can’t wait to try these! I love prosecco, never thought of making a drink with it – especially not port! Thanks for another great post
