While nothing can really top the wine tasting scene for me, we all know Eddy and Pats are more Champers girls anyway and the premiere of the new episodes had it flowing. I’ve been beyond impressed with the genius creation of the Champagne fridge, and saw that it has not two but three sections. However – all Bolly, no Veuve!

Bollinger Champagne is quite good – the house produces more than 60% of its grape supply themselves. Their Special Cuvée (non-vintage) is made up of mostly Pinot Noir (60%), with 25% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Meunier to round out the blend.

But still, why  Bolly for Eddy and Pats? I think this quote from Lilly Bollinger will explain things:

“I drink it when I’m happy and when I’m sad. Sometimes I drink it when I’m alone. When I have company I consider it obligatory. I trifle with it if I’m not hungry and I drink it when I am. Otherwise I never touch it, unless I’m thirsty.”
