We’ve already had our first Heat Dome, and I immediately started popping frosty rosés. Here are a few favorites to kick off your summer and keep you cool:
- Lady A by Chateau La Coste: Feels so summery with the label’s butterfly by Damien Hirst (the winery also had an exhibit by the artist). Very flavorful peach and raspberry notes from the typical provencal blend of Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah grapes. $20
- Mathilde Chapoutier Aurisso Sainte-Victoire: Always one of my favorite rosé producers, the Aurisso is a blend of Syrah, Cinsault, Rolle, and Grenache. They recommend pairing the mineral and strawberry notes with strawberry tartare, basil and a dash of lime juice – must try this! $28
- Pasqua 11 Minutes: An interesting Italian blend of 50% Corvina and 25% Trebbiano di Lugana with non-Italian native Syrah and Carmenère. The herbal, savory wine gets its name from the duration of skin contact. $23
