Rosé is needed now more than ever. No, not because of Covid. Because we’re getting into the warm July and August deck days. Here are my top 3 for the month:
- Balletto: Pinot Noir-based rosés are basically my favorites – the best balance of elegance and decent fruit. This has lots of watermelon and lovely strawberry notes. $20 [use code Friend10 for 10% off on their website]
- M de Minuty: Perfectly Côtes de Provence – light and refreshing with notes of orange blossom and watermelon. $23
- Good Clean Rosé: I once wrote a story about pairing wines with lipstick colors for Clinique, and my friend who commissioned it now has her own wine line! So cool. Her rosé is a blend of Sangiovese and Ciliegiolo from Maremma, Italy. Some sangiovese-based rosé comes off as heavy, but this one was crisp and savory which made it great with food. $20
