Finally it’s gotten a little hot and humid in NYC – and our Friday Fizz summer series is here just in time. Today we’re looking at the Arnold Palmer, a classic non-alcoholic drink that’s just a mix of lemonade and iced tea.
But I bet Arnie’s wife would be a cool cocktail party host and serve this Mrs. Palmer drink. It adds a hint of ginger, thanks to the Ginger Lemonade seltzer that Polar has made for the summer. They came up with this recipe and obviously the drink rocks because it’s a cocktail, but you could also just throw the flavored seltzer on the rocks for guests who wanted to stay clear to play a round of golf with Arnie.
mrs. palmer
1 part lemonade
1 part unsweetened tea
1 part Polar Ginger Lemonade Seltzer
1/2 part vodka
Combine ingredients in a large pitcher filled with ice, adding the seltzer last so the bubbles don’t get bruised (that last part was a tip from Polar – I’d never heard of bruising seltzer bubbles!).
All guests will be ready for another round – of golf or cocktails.
Beat more heat with cocktail friend’s other Friday Fizz drinks:
Need to find that ginger lemonade Polar! I may have seen it at Earth Fare.
Looks good, will have to try this.
Love this idea for an Arnold Palmer twist! I usually add Poli Miele (honey- and herb-infused grappa liqueur) to sparkling lemonade Izzze, freshly brewed tea, and vodka. I will have to try the Polar Ginger Lemonade Spritzer for yet another combo! Thanks!
Oh – cocktails with Izze – now THAT’S a great idea! I love Izze!
