Yeah, yeah, we heard Brad and Angie’s wine sold out in 5 hours. With so many celebs getting into the wine business, author Nick Wise wanted to know what their involvement is in all of it. He went to the vineyards of Francis Ford Coppola, legendary football coach Dick Vermeil, chef Charlie Palmer, race car driver Mario Andretti, actor Dan Aykroyd and a bunch of others to figure it all out.
The results are in his new book Celebrity Vineyards: From Napa to Tuscany in Search of Great Wine and he’ll be downing some wine at his book-release party tomorrow with some of the celebrity winemakers:
- chef and restaurateur Charlie Palmer will be pouring out some of his Charlie Clay Pinot Noir
- Robert Mark Kamen (he wrote The Karate Kid – Wax on wax off!) will have his Kamen Estate Wines 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon
- for the dudes, former adult film star Natalie Oliveros will have her La Fiorita Brunello de Montalcino
There will be a bunch more wines too! The party’s tomorrow, April 24, from 6:30–9pm at The Bowery Hotel, $60 per person. You get a copy of “Celebrity Vineyards” and all the wine you want, so get your tickets here: http://www.giltcity.com/newyork/celebrityvineyards

That would be fun and interesting to sample the wines.
Ha! Natalie Oliveros! 🙂 Only one small correction regarding the wine she makes: it is Brunello di Montalcino (100% Sangiovese). Take care
You are 100% right! My mistake, just changed it – thank you!
Haven’t tried a ton of celebrity wines…but I love a bottle of “Dreaming Tree” by Dave Matthews when I’m needing a cheap red. Delish!
Agree – his are super decent, easy-drinking values!
