I may have previously thought that Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel drank shitty wine at their wedding (see: “Justin Timberlake probably drank shitty wine at his wedding“). But the evidence at that point seemed to be clear. Anyway, it has come to my attention that Justin and Jessica made their own custom blend for their wedding. What??? So grapefriendy!

It was called Blue Ocean Floor, and not only did they serve it at their wedding but they gave it to their guests as gifts. It was made by their friend Jesse Katz, who’s the winemaker at Lancaster Estate in Sonoma’s Alexander Valley. Katz made two barrels of a red blend, a mix of Alexander Valley Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, and Cabernet Sauvignon from the 2009 vintage.

Katz, 28, goes snowboarding with J&J, and they’ve loved his wines since he was working at cult Cab vineyard Screaming Eagle. J&J were apparently part of the blending process and also made the artwork for the label – eh, nothing special to me but whatever. Just hope the wine was better than her dress.
