I’m a Giants fan. But most people I watch with know I also love Mark Sanchez, and they’re constantly yelling at me saying I can’t root for the Jets if I’m a Giants fans. Well, I’m officially declaring that I can as of today!
They’ll never play each other where it counts until a Superbowl (where yes, I’d root for the Giants), and I’m a New Yorker before I’m a football fan. That said, they’re also both just nice teams. Check it:
For the 10th anniversary of 9/11, the Giants have created this awesome mosaic where fans contribute their picture and a message. What a great crowd-sourced way to unite your fans. When it’s all filled in, the Giants are giving it to Tuesday’s children, a non-profit organization providing support and services for children of 9-11 and other people who’ve been impacted by global terrorism.
Then Chezzie designed a T-shirt and is giving all proceeds to families of fallen firefighters via the New York Police & Fire Widows’ & Children’s Benefit Fund and the FDNY Foundation. His dad was a firefighter and suggested the “You go, we go” slogan for the t-shirt, which is a line from Backdraft. You can buy one here.
