free run juice

sipping with the fishes

Temps are climbing, meals are getting lighter. As we get more white fish on our plates, here are a few great pairings for your glass.

Olianas Vermentino: Hard to find a better summer meal than fresh white fish with lemon and Italian parsley. And it would be hard to find a better pairing than Vermentino for that. Olianas from Sardinia has all the lemon zest and white florals you need. $21 here

William Cole Chardonnay: So restrained that it feels more Burgundian than Napa. A splurge at $95 (for members here) but great for a special lobster night.

Amity Vineyards White Pinot Noir: For creamy sauces, the fuller body of this holds up. Pinot Noir is a red grape of course, but if you press the juice out of the grape and don’t keep it in contact with the red skins, the wine will be white. In this one, you get lovely golden apple and honeysuckle notes. $22 here
