maybe she’s drinking some viognier here?

Add yet another celebrity who’s entering the wine biz. Fergie just announced that she’s coming out with Ferguson Crest wine, probably sometime this summer.

It all came about because her dad moved to Santa Barbara County, which is where Sideways took place fyi. Her dad’s a horticulturalist and planted about an acre of vines on his land.

“I’m investing in real estate,” Fergie told Forbes. “Plus, my dad is going to have a great house.”

They aim to produce 1,000 cases (which is pretty small) of Syrah, Viognier and Cabernet Sauvignon. Love all those grapes,  so this all actually sounds sort of decent to me. And as long as “My Humps” isn’t used as the theme song, I’m ok.

Also, how did I not know Fergie was part-owner of the Miami Dolphins? Maybe she’ll get them to serve some decent wines in stadiums? Grapefriend can dream…
